**DHARWAD, Karnataka (February 18, 2025)** – More than 500 students participated in a Youth Summit held Sunday at the KE Board’s First Grade Arts and Commerce College in Dharwad, organized by the Pandit Puttaraj Gavai Kala Prathisthana. The summit culminated in a resolution committing the students to becoming “Green Warriors” and actively combating climate change, soil degradation, and global warming.
The young attendees emphasized the importance of rainwater harvesting to replenish groundwater, preserving biodiversity, and protecting forests to improve air, water, and soil quality. MLC S.V. Sankanur addressed the gathering, highlighting the immense potential of youth in shaping India’s future and urging them to strive for success in various fields.
Summit president P.V. Hiremath echoed these sentiments, encouraging active participation in nation-building and environmental protection initiatives, including widespread tree planting. He also advised students to explore career paths beyond government jobs, particularly in emerging sectors like environmental protection.
Principal Mohan Siddhanti stressed the significance of discipline in education and encouraged dedication and devotion in academic pursuits. BJP leader and social activist Savita Amarshetti spoke about the potential of India’s youth demographic dividend, emphasizing the need for skill development to prevent internet addiction and promote both personal and national growth. The event was also attended by representatives from the All India Primary School Teachers Federation.
