**Agartala, Tripura, February 15, 2025** – Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Tripura have apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals, including three women, at Teliamura railway station. The group was detained Friday evening upon disembarking from the Silchar-Agartala Express, following intelligence reports related to human trafficking. The individuals, who had reportedly traveled from Bangalore, are currently being interrogated. Following questioning, they will be handed over to local police for further legal proceedings.
In a separate incident on Friday, the BSF thwarted a smuggling attempt near Kullubari in Sepahijala district. Authorities seized two packets containing a large quantity of suspected yaba tablets, estimated to be worth ₹2 crore (approximately $240,000 USD), that were thrown over the border fence.
