**Mumbai, India** – Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s period drama, “Chhaava,” has taken the Bollywood box office by storm. The film achieved the highest opening day collection for a period drama, surpassing previous records held by films like “Padmaavat,” “Kesari,” “Tanhaji,” and “Bajirao Mastani.”

“Chhaava” raked in a phenomenal ₹33.10 crore on its opening day, setting a new benchmark. The momentum continued throughout the weekend, with the film accumulating ₹39.30 crore on day two and ₹49.03 crore on day three, resulting in a weekend total of ₹121.43 crore.

Early estimates for Monday indicate further strong performance, with “Chhaava” reportedly grossing ₹8.31 crore by 5:40 PM, bringing the four-day total to ₹129.74 crore. These figures are preliminary and expected to be updated.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, “Chhaava,” with a budget of ₹130 crore, has already recouped its production cost within four days and shattered several box office records. The film also stars Akshay Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Vineet Kumar Singh.
