**Mumbai, [Date of Publication]** – Vicky Kaushal’s historical action drama, “Chhaava,” has surpassed ₹100 crore in box office collections, marking a resounding success for the film. The film, which released on Valentine’s Day, saw a phenomenal jump in earnings on its third day, raking in ₹48.5 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the film’s total domestic collection to ₹116.5 crore.

The Laxman Utekar directorial boasts a strong 62.48% Hindi occupancy on its first Sunday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh described the Saturday box office numbers as “extraordinary,” noting strong performance not only in Maharashtra, the film’s core market, but also in key cities across India including Delhi, NCR, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Indore, Bhopal, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

“Chhaava,” based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale. The film also features a stellar supporting cast including Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. The film’s success is attributed to its strong performances and its ability to resonate with audiences beyond its expected demographic.

The film is projected to achieve an opening weekend collection of around ₹110 crore, a remarkable feat for a historical drama. Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, “Chhaava” marks the first on-screen collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna.
