**Bengaluru, February 17, 2025** – A 57-year-old head constable, Prakash M.V., was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday night near Sadahalli gate in Chikkajala, Bengaluru. Prakash, attached to the Channarayapatna police station, was on his way to work when a speeding car struck his motorcycle. The impact threw him onto the car’s windscreen, causing severe head injuries. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Prakash was wearing a half-helmet at the time of the accident. Chikkajala traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the car driver.
