KORUTLA, TELANGANA – February 17, 2025 – Korutla MLA Dr. Kalvakuntla Sanjay lauded former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for transforming Telangana into a lush green state. Participating in pre-birthday celebrations for KCR on Sunday, Sanjay, along with farmers and local leaders, performed a ceremonial milk bath (Ksheeraabhishekam) on KCR’s portrait at a pump house near Rajeeshwar Raopeta village.
Sanjay credited KCR’s leadership with the construction of the Kaleshwaram project, bringing irrigation to vast swathes of land and improving the livelihoods of farmers. He also praised the Rythu Bandhu (farmer investment support) and Rythu Bima (farmer insurance) schemes, stating they prevented farmer suicides. He sharply criticized the current Congress government, alleging its policies were harming farmers and leading to increased distress.
Separately, former chairman of Markfed, Lok Bapureddy, described KCR’s ten-year rule as a “golden era.” He planted saplings to mark KCR’s birthday celebrations at the Bhusnarayanapeta single-window office and criticized the Congress government for failing to deliver on its election promises, particularly regarding loan waivers and timely supply of fertilizers, causing hardship for farmers. Bapureddy expressed confidence in the BRS party’s return to power.
