The tournament will see five teams – RCB, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians (led by Harmanpreet Kaur), Delhi Capitals (led by Meg Lanning), and UP Warriorz (led by Deepti Sharma) – compete in a familiar format. Each team will play every other team twice in the league stage, with the top team advancing directly to the final. The second and third-placed teams will contest an Eliminator on March 13th for the right to play in the final, scheduled for March 15th in Mumbai.
International stars will be on display, including West Indian all-rounder Deandra Dottin (Gujarat Giants) and England captain Heather Knight (RCB). Simran Shaikh, the most expensive player at the recent auction, will also feature for the Giants.
Fans can catch all the action live on Disney+ Hotstar and Star Sports Network TV channels. The coveted Orange Cap (top run-scorer) and Purple Cap (top wicket-taker) will once again be awarded at the season’s conclusion. RCB’s Ellyse Perry and Shreyanka Patil are aiming to defend their Orange and Purple Caps respectively, after their impressive performances in the 2024 season.
