Sat Feb 15 14:35:34 UTC 2025: ## Flower Power Grab Follows Bihar CM’s Buxar Visit

**Buxar, Bihar –** Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s visit to Buxar on Saturday for his ‘Pragati Yatra’ ended with an unexpected twist. While the CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several crore-rupee development projects, including a long-delayed multi-village water supply scheme and a railway overbridge, his departure was followed by a mass looting of hundreds of flower pots placed along the road to greet him.

Videos circulating online show residents swiftly taking the flower pots, leaving the administration scrambling to react. The incident occurred outside the District Guest House after Kumar’s departure, leaving officials baffled by the sudden and widespread appropriation of the decorative plants.

During his visit, Kumar reviewed development works at the Buxar Collectorate and met with senior officials. Besides the water supply scheme in Keshopur and the railway overbridge near Raghunathpur, he also remotely inaugurated the Nikrish Pump Canal and launched a light and sound show building at Ramrekhaghat. The CM also laid the foundation stone for a new tourist hotel at Buxar Golambar. The unusual post-visit event has overshadowed the announcements of significant development projects in the region, leaving the administration to grapple with both the success of the Yatra and the unexpected consequences of its decorative welcome.
