Sat Feb 15 19:40:45 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Congress Vows Grassroots Revival After Election Debacle

**NEW DELHI, February 16, 2025** – Following the Congress party’s third consecutive electoral defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, DPCC president Devender Yadav announced a plan to revitalize the party at the grassroots level. The party failed to win a single seat, with 67 of its 70 candidates losing their deposits.

Yadav stated that the party will analyze the reasons for their poor performance and develop a new strategy. He also indicated that the Congress will closely monitor the BJP government’s actions over the next three to four months, assessing whether their election promises are fulfilled. He drew parallels to the AAP government’s alleged failure to deliver on its pledges.

While vowing to act as a responsible opposition, Yadav expressed little concern over the BJP’s plans to rebrand Delhi’s welfare schemes, pointing to similar actions by the Modi government in 2014. He specifically mentioned the proposed renaming of Mohalla Clinics to ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandir,’ questioning the significance of a name change if it benefits the public.

Yadav also commented on ongoing investigations into the renovation of the Chief Minister’s residence and the money laundering case against former AAP minister Satyender Jain, urging that the truth be revealed. He further questioned the BJP’s inaction regarding CAG reports, challenging them to table them in Parliament if they claim the AAP is preventing their release in the Delhi Assembly. The Congress plans to use this information to build their strategy for future elections.
