**Bengaluru, February 15, 2025** – A week after a stabbing spree in Indiranagar left five people injured, police have arrested the assailant, identified as Kadamba, a former rowdy sheeter. Kadamba was apprehended in Hoskote on Saturday following a week-long manhunt. His arrest followed the detention of his father Suresh, brother Vishnu, and sister Sushmitha for aiding his escape.
Police investigations revealed that Kadamba’s attack stemmed from a family argument over money for alcohol. He allegedly slashed four individuals – a security guard, a 19-year-old, and two pani puri vendors – in Indiranagar within a half-hour period, targeting their necks. He later robbed a bike taxi driver and evaded a Hoysala patrol team before being briefly sighted at a Hoskote medical store.
Kadamba, in his mid-twenties, had a history of assault and mobile theft, with a rowdy sheet opened against him in May 2024, which was subsequently closed after he posted bail. The police investigation continues.
