**Visakhapatnam, February 16, 2025** – A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder of the Hare Krishna Movement, was posthumously awarded the title “Vishwa Guru” (World Teacher) at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj earlier this month. The honor, bestowed by the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP), recognizes Prabhupada’s significant contributions as an ambassador of Sanathana Dharma.

To commemorate this occasion, two gold “shatagopams” were presented on Sunday to the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple in Simhachalam by Madhu Pandit Dasa, a Padma Shri awardee and chairman of the Hare Krishna Movement. The presentation was witnessed by temple officials and prominent members of the Hare Krishna Movement.

Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa of the Hare Krishna Movement lauded the title, emphasizing Prabhupada’s unique role in spreading the teachings of Lord Krishna globally and introducing Lord Lakshmi Narasimha worship worldwide. The event was attended by numerous leaders from the Hare Krishna Movement across India.
