Sat Feb 15 15:43:04 UTC 2025: ## Adani Visits Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Offers Prayers for India

**Ajmer, Rajasthan –** Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, and his wife, Priti Adani, visited the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan on February 15th, 2025. The couple offered a makhmali chadar (a silk cloth) and flowers at the revered Sufi shrine.

They were welcomed by Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Chairman of the Chishty Foundation and Dargah Ajmer Sharif. Mr. Adani stated that his prayers were for the prosperity of India and global peace. A tweet from Haji Syed Salman Chishty confirmed the visit and expressed gratitude for the Adani family’s gesture.

The Ajmer Sharif Dargah, dedicated to the Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti, is a significant pilgrimage site for Muslims and people of all faiths. The shrine’s doors are open to all, reflecting the saint’s secular teachings.

This visit follows a recent presentation of a sacred chadar by Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Dargah. The Minister also launched several initiatives to improve the pilgrim experience, including a new operations manual for the annual Urs festival, a Dargah web portal, and the Garib Nawaz app. These initiatives aim to modernize services and improve transparency for pilgrims.
