Sun Feb 16 02:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Oscar-Nominated Prison Drama “Sing Sing” Coming to Max
**New York, NY** – A24’s critically acclaimed prison drama, “Sing Sing,” starring Colman Domingo (who received an Oscar nomination for his performance), will begin streaming exclusively on Max on March 21st. The film, which also garnered Oscar nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Song, will air on HBO linear on March 22nd at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Directed by Greg Kwedar and inspired by the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Correctional Facility, the film follows Divine G (Domingo), a wrongly convicted man who finds solace and purpose through participating in a prison theater group. The cast includes a mix of professional actors and formerly incarcerated individuals, many of whom are alumni of the RTA program, adding powerful authenticity to the story. Clarence Maclin, Sean San José, and Paul Raci also star.
“Sing Sing” premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and had a limited theatrical release last July. The film is produced by Greg Kwedar, Clint Bentley, and Monique Walton, with several executive producers, including Colman Domingo himself. This marks another high-profile A24 title added to Max’s streaming library, following the recent additions of “Heretic” and the upcoming “Waitress: The Musical.”
