**Imphal, Manipur –** Security forces in Manipur have arrested 11 militants in the past two days, authorities announced on Sunday. Seven suspected members of the Kuki National Army (KNA), a signatory to a suspended ceasefire agreement, were apprehended in Churachandpur district on Friday. The remaining four, including two women, were identified as active members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG group) and arrested in Imphal East district on Saturday. The arrests resulted in the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and incriminating materials. The KNA’s involvement in the ongoing conflict in Manipur is of particular concern given their past participation in a tripartite suspension of operations agreement, since withdrawn by the Manipur government.
