Sat Feb 15 16:46:32 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka Minister Accuses Congress of Obstructing Development
**Mysuru, February 15, 2025** – Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti, V. Somanna, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party in Karnataka, accusing it of consistently hindering the state’s development by complaining about insufficient central allocations. He indirectly criticized the Congress for its alleged lack of vision, suggesting their inability to recognize the nation’s progress is due to a metaphorical “cataract.”
Somanna emphasized the need for cooperation between the state and central governments, likening them to two sides of a coin. He argued that a lack of cooperation from the state government under Congress has prevented Karnataka from receiving maximum benefits from central schemes. He further claimed that central allocations to Karnataka have significantly increased under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership compared to the previous Congress regime.
The minister also criticized the Congress party for its absence at the inaugurations of various development projects, accusing them of withdrawing from participation, sulking, and then blaming Prime Minister Modi for the state’s financial woes. He attributed the state’s financial difficulties to the Congress’s own mismanagement.
