Thu Feb 13 11:34:57 UTC 2025: ## YouTuber BeerBiceps Faces Backlash Over Offensive Joke

**Mumbai, India** – Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, is embroiled in a major controversy following his appearance on the YouTube show “India’s Got Latent.” Allahbadia’s question to a contestant – “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?” – sparked widespread outrage and legal action.

The incident led to the show’s host, Samay Raina, deleting all episodes of “India’s Got Latent” from his YouTube channel. Mumbai Police visited Allahbadia’s residence, and an FIR was also filed against him in Assam. A parliamentary panel is considering summoning Allahbadia to address the issue, while the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has filed a case against the show, involving 30-40 individuals.

Allahbadia issued a public apology, admitting a “lapse of judgment” and stating that comedy is “not his forte.” However, the apology hasn’t quelled the storm. Numerous high-profile figures, including politicians, filmmakers (Boney Kapoor, Ashoke Pandit), actors (Rajpal Yadav, Raza Murad), and musicians (A.R. Rahman), have condemned Allahbadia’s remarks, highlighting the need for responsible content creation and emphasizing the boundaries of freedom of speech. The National Commission for Women and the National Human Rights Commission have also intervened.

The controversy has also impacted other individuals associated with the show. Comedian Ashish Chanchlani withdrew from a Valentine’s Day event citing illness. Samay Raina, currently in the US, has been summoned by authorities. Several other influencers involved in the show have also faced questioning. Unreleased episodes featuring prominent guests are now in limbo.

The incident has ignited a wider debate on the responsibilities of social media influencers and the need for stricter regulations governing online content. The ongoing investigations and potential legal ramifications are closely watched as the controversy continues to unfold.
