**New Delhi, February 13, 2025** – The first part of the Indian Parliament’s Budget Session concluded today, with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla praising the productive and cooperative atmosphere. The House adjourned until March 10th, 2025, when the second part of the session will begin.
Speaker Birla highlighted the significant discussion time dedicated to the President’s address (17 hours and 23 minutes) and the Union Budget (16 hours and 13 minutes). He noted a participation rate exceeding expectations, with 173 members contributing to the former and 170 to the latter. Overall, the session achieved 112% productivity, according to Birla. He expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of all members.
