Wed Feb 12 09:34:32 UTC 2025: ## YouTuber BeerBiceps Faces Nationwide Backlash for Offensive Remarks

**Mumbai, India –** Popular Indian YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, is embroiled in a major controversy following his appearance on the YouTube comedy show, “India’s Got Latent.” His crass question to a contestant—”Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?”—sparked outrage nationwide.

The fallout has been swift and severe. Police in Mumbai and Assam have registered FIRs against Allahbadia and several other participants in the show, including host Samay Raina and fellow YouTubers Ashish Chanchalani and Apoorva Makhija. The Mumbai Police visited Allahbadia’s residence, although they stated it was for routine security checks. A parliamentary panel is also considering summoning him.

Allahbadia issued a public apology, stating that comedy is “not his forte,” but the damage was done. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned him and others involved for a hearing on February 17th, expressing strong concern over the “derogatory comments.” The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also filed a case against the show, booking 30-40 individuals involved in its production and appearances.

The controversy has led to significant public and political condemnation. Politicians, including Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, have criticized Allahbadia’s remarks, blaming him for degrading moral values. Several celebrities have also voiced their disapproval. Actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his role as Shaktimaan, condemned the comments and called for strict action. Even Aamir Khan’s past comments on the AIB Roast have been resurfaced, highlighting the potential harm of offensive language.

The incident resulted in a substantial drop in Allahbadia’s social media following, with reports suggesting a loss of around 142,000 followers across various platforms within two days. The episode featuring the controversial comments has been blocked on YouTube following government orders. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded a ban on the show, while calls for stricter regulations on social media and OTT platforms are gaining momentum. The controversy underscores the ongoing debate about freedom of speech versus responsible content creation on online platforms.
