Wed Feb 12 17:15:05 UTC 2025: ## YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and 30 Others Booked in Obscenity Case
**Mumbai, February 12, 2025** – The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has filed a case against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and approximately 30-40 others associated with the YouTube show “India’s Got Latent.” The charges stem from allegedly obscene remarks made in an episode that sparked widespread online outrage.
According to the Cyber Cell, the case encompasses all individuals involved in the show’s production and airing, from the first to the sixth episode. Notices are being issued, and those named will be required to provide statements.
Inspector Abhijeet Sonawane of the nodal cyber police station stated that the show consistently used obscene language, expressions, and actions, allegedly aimed at disrespecting women. The creators and contributors are also accused of deliberately insulting religious beliefs, hurting religious sentiments, and disrupting public peace, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also summoned Allahbadia and others involved in the controversy. The investigation is ongoing.
