**Chandigarh, February 12, 2025** – Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann dismissed allegations of internal strife within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) following the party’s recent loss in the Delhi Assembly elections. Responding to claims by Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa that over 30 AAP MLAs were in contact with the Congress, Mann stated that such party-switching is commonplace in the Congress, but not within AAP. He emphasized the party’s strong foundation and dismissed the allegations as baseless.
Mann, who met with AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its poll promise of providing ₹1,000 per month to women in Punjab, assuring its imminent implementation. He highlighted AAP’s achievements in Delhi and pledged to replicate its success in Punjab, citing the establishment of numerous Mohalla Clinics and the improvement of healthcare and education infrastructure.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA-elect Manjinder Singh Sirsa criticized Kejriwal, suggesting his ambitions for the Punjab CM post were unrealistic. Further criticism came from AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, who accused the party of widespread corruption in Punjab and expressed the anger of both the people and several MLAs. Maliwal specifically targeted the appointment of Bibhav Kumar, who has faced allegations of assault, as the Chief Minister’s chief advisor. She alleged that Punjab was being treated as a “personal ATM” by some within the party.
