HAMBURG, GERMANY—A high-speed train collided with a truck carrying rails on the outskirts of Hamburg, Germany, on February 11, 2025, resulting in one fatality and 25 injuries, six of them serious. According to police, the ICE train, carrying 291 passengers, struck the truck at a crossing. The impact shattered windows in the front cars, and the truck’s load was scattered across the accident site. A 55-year-old passenger died at the scene. Uninjured passengers were evacuated and transported to a nearby station. The truck driver is in police custody for questioning.
