Wed Feb 12 08:44:21 UTC 2025: ## Food Delivery App Takes a Swipe at Controversial YouTubers in “India’s Lost Talent” Ad Campaign

**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Magicpin, a food delivery app, has waded into the controversy surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia (“BeerBiceps”) and comedian Samay Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent,” with a provocative billboard campaign. The ad, reading “India’s Lost Talent. Comedy ki limit honi chahiye par discounts ki nahi” (“There should be a limit to comedy, but not to discounts”), features animated figures resembling the show’s panelists laughing. The campaign follows a massive backlash against Allahbadia and Raina for offensive comments made on the show, which has since been removed from YouTube.

The controversy has escalated significantly, leading to multiple police complaints and investigations. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered a case against “India’s Got Latent,” charging 30-40 individuals involved. Mumbai Police visited Allahbadia’s residence, while the National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned Allahbadia, Raina, and others for a hearing on February 17th concerning alleged derogatory remarks. Similar actions are underway in Assam. A Parliamentary panel is also considering summoning Allahbadia.

Politicians have also weighed in, with Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi intending to raise the issue in Parliament, criticizing Allahbadia’s language. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that those exceeding decency limits will face action. Lawyers have filed independent complaints against Allahbadia. Magicpin’s campaign, shared on X, appears to be a commentary on the situation, questioning the state of stand-up comedy in India. The ad has garnered significant online attention, with many users praising Magicpin’s bold move.
