**New Delhi, February 10, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70 seats after more than two decades out of power. This marks a significant comeback for the BJP, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) tenure.

The AAP managed to win 22 seats, while the Congress party failed to secure any seats for the third consecutive election. Aaley Mohammad Iqbal of the AAP achieved the highest victory margin, winning the Matia Mahal seat by 42,724 votes. In contrast, the BJP’s Chandan Kumar Choudhary secured the Sangam Vihar seat by the narrowest margin of just 344 votes.

The BJP’s vote share stood at 45.56%, slightly edging out the AAP’s 43.57%. The Congress party trailed significantly with only 6.34% of the vote. The results represent a major shift in Delhi’s political landscape.
