**Bengaluru, India –** Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 15th edition of Aero India, Asia’s largest air show, in Bengaluru today. Boasting over 900 exhibitors, including 150 foreign companies, and participation from more than 90 countries, this year’s event is the largest in Aero India’s history. The show, held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, spans over 42,000 sq m.
Minister Singh highlighted the event as a testament to India’s growing global standing in aerospace and defense. He emphasized Aero India’s role in showcasing India’s strength, resilience, and self-reliance, aligning with the government’s vision for a strong and secure nation. The “Runway to a Billion Opportunities” themed event will feature cutting-edge defence technologies and global aviation excellence.
The event is attracting high-level delegations, including defence ministers or representatives from approximately 30 countries and air chiefs and secretaries from 43 countries. Minister Singh stressed the event’s importance for fostering international collaboration and inspiring India’s youth.
Aero India 2025, running from February 10th to 14th, will also feature an “India Pavilion,” showcasing the nation’s “Make-in-India” initiative and its commitment to defence manufacturing. The Ministry of Defence views Aero India as a pivotal platform for forging global partnerships and advancing India’s profile in the global aerospace sector, building on the success of Aero India 2023.
