Sun Feb 09 22:19:51 UTC 2025: ## PlayStation Network Back Online After Major Outage
**NEW YORK** – Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) is fully operational again after a widespread outage lasting over 15 hours left millions of gamers unable to access online services. The outage, which began Friday evening, affected numerous PSN features including the PlayStation Store, online gaming, and account management.
Users flooded social media with complaints and humorous anecdotes about their downtime, highlighting the frustration caused by the disruption. One user jokingly tweeted, “Playstation network down, time to get to know my wife of 5 years.” Others demanded compensation for the lost playtime.
Sony acknowledged the issue on Friday night and assured users they were working to resolve it. Krispy Kreme even offered a free doughnut to disgruntled gamers as a temporary consolation.
PSN services were restored just after midnight on Sunday. In a statement, PlayStation apologized for the inconvenience and announced that all users will receive a five-day extension to their online subscription as compensation for the outage.
