**Mumbai, Maharashtra –** Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his BeerBiceps channel, is facing intense criticism and a police complaint following his appearance as a judge on India’s Got Talent. Allahbadia, along with fellow content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija, sparked outrage with a highly inappropriate question posed to a contestant. The question, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?”, has been widely condemned as offensive and deeply disturbing.
Following the broadcast, social media erupted with calls for a boycott of Allahbadia, with prominent figures like poet Neelesh Misra and Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate joining the chorus of condemnation. Misra labeled the creators involved as “perverts” shaping the country’s creative economy, highlighting the lack of sensitivity and ethical responsibility in their actions. Shrinate echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the danger of normalizing such behavior.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Allahbadia, Samay Raina (another judge), Apoorva Mukhija, and the organizers of India’s Got Talent for allegedly using abusive language on the show. The complaint was filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra authorities.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis acknowledged the controversy, stating that while freedom of speech is paramount, it ends where it infringes on the freedom of others. He indicated that action should be taken against those who violate societal norms.
Allahbadia has yet to publicly address the controversy, which has ignited a broader debate about content regulation on OTT platforms and the responsibilities of influential public figures. The incident raises serious questions about the boundaries of humor and the potential impact of insensitive content on a large audience.
