Sun Feb 09 23:10:01 UTC 2025: ## Atishi’s Victory Dance: BJP Claims it Celebrated Kejriwal’s Downfall

**New Delhi** – BJP leader Anurag Thakur has interpreted Atishi’s celebratory dance after winning her Kalkaji Assembly seat as a sign of rebellion against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Thakur alleges the dance wasn’t just about Atishi’s victory, but a reaction to Kejriwal’s perceived attempt to sabotage her campaign.

Speaking to India Today TV, Thakur claimed Kejriwal systematically undermined Atishi, excluding her from campaign materials and overall strategy. He alleged this was part of a broader pattern of Kejriwal eliminating those who helped build the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), citing examples of Anna Hazare and founding members.

Thakur framed Atishi’s victory as a significant blow to Kejriwal, who, along with Manish Sisodia and other senior AAP leaders, suffered defeat in the recent Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP secured a landslide victory. Thakur stated Atishi’s jubilation reflected the sentiment of Delhiites celebrating Kejriwal’s downfall.

The BJP leader further accused Kejriwal of attempting to shift blame for the liquor policy case onto Sisodia, asserting Kejriwal was the true mastermind.

Thakur sees Atishi’s dance as a precursor to further internal conflict within the AAP, predicting increased dissent within the party in the coming days. He suggested the video was evidence of a growing rift fueled by Kejriwal’s alleged attempts to undermine his own party members.
