Sun Feb 09 13:36:10 UTC 2025: ## INDIA Bloc’s Divided Front Blamed for BJP’s Delhi Victory: CPI

**Tiruchirappalli, February 9, 2025** – The Communist Party of India (CPI) has criticized the opposition INDIA bloc for its failure to unite against the BJP in the recent Delhi elections, attributing the BJP’s victory to the bloc’s internal divisions. CPI state secretary R. Mutharasan stated that a united front, mirroring the strategy that successfully hampered the BJP in the previous parliamentary elections, could have prevented the BJP’s win. He blamed the individual parties’ egoistic approach for their separate campaigns, arguing that this ultimately benefitted the BJP. While acknowledging the setback, Mutharasan expressed confidence that a unified INDIA bloc could still defeat the BJP in future elections.

Mutharasan also addressed the rise in crimes against women and children in the state, expressing deep concern over the increase in incidents, particularly within educational institutions. He called for strong action against perpetrators, regardless of their profession, urging the state government to ensure swift and decisive punishment.
