Sat Feb 08 11:45:24 UTC 2025: **BJP Sweeps Delhi Assembly Elections in Landslide Victory**

Agartala, Tripura – February 8, 2025 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning over 49 of the 70 seats, according to the Election Commission. This marks a stunning return to power for the BJP after more than 26 years and a devastating blow to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which won only 21 seats. The Congress party failed to win any seats.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attributed the BJP’s victory to the enduring trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He congratulated PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, highlighting the win as a reflection of the nation’s growing confidence in the BJP. Saha further alleged that the AAP government in Delhi was involved in corrupt practices.

BJP Tripura unit president Rajib Bhattacharjee echoed these sentiments, declaring the victory a testament to Modi’s work and the people’s faith. The BJP’s win ends the AAP’s 27-year absence from power in Delhi. While the BJP’s next Chief Minister remains to be announced, the party’s decisive win signals a significant shift in Delhi’s political landscape.
