**New Delhi, [Date]** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has swept the Delhi Assembly elections, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) seven-year rule in the national capital. The BJP secured a resounding 48 seats in the 70-member assembly, a significant increase from its 8 seats in 2020. The AAP, which previously held 62 seats, was reduced to just 22, while the Congress failed to win a single seat.

Incumbent Chief Minister Atishi submitted her resignation to Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena today, following which the Seventh Legislative Assembly was dissolved.
