Sat Feb 08 08:59:37 UTC 2025: ## BJP Wins Patparganj Assembly Seat in Delhi Elections

**New Delhi, [Date]** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a victory in the Patparganj Assembly constituency in the recent Delhi elections. BJP candidate Ravinder Singh Negi defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Avadh Ojha by a significant margin of 28,072 votes. Negi polled 70,060 votes, while Ojha received 45,928. Congress candidate Anil Kumar finished third with 16,549 votes.

Negi maintained a lead throughout the vote counting process, which began at 8:00 am today. This marks a reversal from the 2020 elections, where AAP’s Manish Sisodia won the seat by a much smaller margin of 3,207 votes. The 2020 election saw a closer contest between Negi and Sisodia, with Sisodia securing 70,163 votes and Negi receiving 66,956.

AAP had strategically fielded Ojha, a well-known teacher and a recent addition to the party, in an attempt to regain the seat. However, the BJP’s strategy proved successful this time around. The Patparganj constituency, a general seat located in East Delhi, is part of the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.
