**New Delhi, February 8, 2025** – The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections is underway, with results expected to shape the political landscape of the national capital for the next five years. Most exit polls predicted a significant win for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), potentially ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) decade-long rule. However, some polls suggested a hung assembly or even a landslide victory for AAP.

The BJP’s potential win would mark a historic return to power after a 27-year absence. For AAP, a victory would signify a third consecutive term for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. A party needs at least 36 seats out of 70 to form a government.
