BUFFALO, NY – A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of Western New York until 10 a.m. Friday, with strong southwest winds expected to gust up to 50 mph. The strongest winds are anticipated tonight. Residents are warned to prepare for potential power outages and downed tree limbs due to the high winds. While dry weather is expected Friday, a brief burst of snow is possible very early in the morning. The winds are expected to decrease Friday afternoon. Stay tuned to Storm Team 2 for further updates.
