**London, England** – SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, has acquired the Northern Superchargers franchise in The Hundred for a staggering £100 million. This marks the sixth Hundred franchise sold by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the third IPL team to join the 100-ball competition, following Mumbai Indians and Lucknow SuperGiants.

SRH, managed by the Chennai-based Sun Group, secured the Yorkshire-based Superchargers after a competitive bidding process. The team, known for its hands-off approach to team management, is currently led by Pat Cummins in the IPL and boasts a strong track record, having finished runners-up in the IPL last year and being two-time defending champions in the SA20. The acquisition represents a full takeover of the Superchargers franchise.
