Thu Feb 06 18:41:37 UTC 2025: ## Jadeja Joins Elite Club with 600th International Wicket
**Nagpur, India** – Ravindra Jadeja etched his name into Indian cricket history, becoming only the fifth Indian to claim 600 international wickets. The all-rounder achieved this milestone during the first ODI against England in Nagpur, dismissing Adil Rashid. This achievement also places him as the second Indian, after Kapil Dev, to reach both 6000 ODI runs and 600 ODI wickets. Globally, Jadeja is the sixth cricketer to accomplish this double.
Jadeja, who boasts impressive figures of 323 Test, 223 ODI, and 54 T20I wickets, retired from T20Is following India’s T20 World Cup 2024 victory. His career, which began in 2009 against Sri Lanka, continues to flourish. In the match against England, he finished with impressive figures of 3/26, also dismissing Jacob Bethell and Joe Root, making him the highest wicket-taker in India vs England ODIs. He also added over 2700 ODI runs to his impressive career statistics. The other Indian bowlers with 600 or more international wickets are Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, and Kapil Dev. Jadeja is the only active player among this elite group.
