**Macon, GA** – The community mourns the passing of Jackie Robinson, a beloved Macon resident known for his dedication to helping others, who passed away on [Date of death not specified in text, assumed to be before February 6, 2025]. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Glorious Hope Baptist Church (3805 Napier Avenue, Macon, GA), with interment following at Middle Georgia Memorial Gardens (3225 Joycliff Road, Macon, GA 31211). Reverend John Herring will officiate.

Mr. Robinson, born February 5, 1950, in Cobb, GA, enjoyed a long and fulfilling life. He had a 35-year career at Armstrong World Industries, following in his father’s footsteps. He was married to Elizabeth Poole for nearly 43 years and is survived by his daughter Daphne Robinson-Darrisaw, son Jackie M. Robinson, stepdaughter LaTonya Davison, and several grandchildren and siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two brothers, and other family members.

Public viewing will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Services (3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, GA 31206).
