Thu Feb 06 21:30:00 UTC 2025: ## GTA 6 Still on Track for Fall 2025 Release, Take-Two Confirms

**NEW YORK** – Despite rampant speculation, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has reaffirmed its commitment to a fall 2025 release for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement came during the company’s third-quarter financial report ending December 31, 2024.

While Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledged the inherent risk of delays in game development, he expressed confidence in the fall 2025 timeframe, stating that the company “feels really good about it.” He remained tight-lipped about the game’s progress, emphasizing Rockstar’s dedication to perfection and the intense competition within the gaming industry.

The upcoming release of GTA 6 has sent ripples through the gaming world, with competitors like EA openly acknowledging the game’s potential impact on their release schedules. EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently hinted at a possible Battlefield delay to avoid a clash with GTA 6’s launch.

Despite the confirmed release window, the absence of a second trailer for GTA 6 continues to fuel fan speculation. Over a year has passed since the first trailer, leaving many eager for further glimpses of the game.

Take-Two’s report also highlighted the continued success of its other titles, including the staggering 210 million units sold of Grand Theft Auto 5 and over 70 million units of Red Dead Redemption 2. The company anticipates a strong 2025, with several other major releases planned alongside GTA 6. Take-Two expressed strong optimism about its future performance, projecting record-breaking net bookings in fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
