VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh – The Andhra Pradesh government is actively promoting public-private partnerships to unlock the state’s tourism potential, Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh announced Thursday. Speaking at a “Coffee and Conversation” event in Vijayawada, Minister Durgesh highlighted the state’s diverse offerings, including coastal areas, historical sites, and religious centers, emphasizing the need to capitalize on this untapped potential.
The government plans to incentivize private investment in the tourism sector through capital incentives and a streamlined single-window approval system for entrepreneurs. Further plans include a meeting with film producers to explore establishing studios and dubbing theatres in the state, aiming to leverage the film industry to boost tourism.
The event also featured Murali Bukkapatnam, founder and chairman of Volksy Technologies and newly elected chair of TiE Global’s board of trustees, who shared his entrepreneurial journey with over 400 students, emphasizing the importance of hard work and creative thinking.
