**Bengaluru, February 7, 2025** – The Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru has registered a case against a woman, Deepa Ramakrishna, and her associates for allegedly creating a forged government order (GO) to fraudulently appoint a clinical psychologist at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute.
The scam was uncovered when the information and publicity department flagged the appointment to the medical education department for verification. Following an investigation, Shivalingaprabhu Wali, under secretary 2 of the Medical Education Department, confirmed the September 2024 GO and the signature of Mr. Wali himself were fabricated. No record of such an order exists within the department. The accused are being charged with cheating and forgery.
