**Vijayawada, February 6, 2025** – Three outsourced employees of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devastanam temple in Vijayawada have been dismissed, and two permanent staff members suspended, following allegations of irregularities in the VIP darshan system. A preliminary inquiry by the Endowments department revealed the staff were allegedly charging exorbitant fees for expedited access to the temple.
The One Town police have registered a case following a complaint from temple authorities. The investigation is ongoing. The actions taken against the implicated staff are a result of the alleged illegal collection of money from devotees seeking VIP darshan.
