**Chennai, February 6, 2025** – A 22-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Perumbakkam, Chennai, on Wednesday morning. Venkatesan, a recently married cake shop employee, was riding his two-wheeler to work when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle near the Central Tamil Research Centre. The vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
Venkatesan sustained severe head injuries and died at the scene. His body was sent to Chromepet Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The Pallikaranai Traffic Investigation police are investigating the incident and reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicle involved. The investigation is ongoing.
