**NOIDA, INDIA –** A 15-year-old ninth-grader was arrested Thursday for sending fake bomb threat emails to four Noida schools. The student, a resident of Delhi’s Sarita Vihar, used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to mask his location and IP address, allegedly to avoid attending school.

The emails, received around 12:30 AM on Wednesday, targeted Step By Step, The Heritage School, Gyanshree, and Mayoor School. Upon receiving the threats, school administrations immediately contacted police. Following an investigation by the surveillance and cyber teams, police identified the Class 9 student as the culprit. The DCP, Ram Badan Singh, stated the student confessed to using a VPN and researching previous bomb threat incidents online before sending the emails. He reportedly admitted that his motivation was to avoid school.
