CHENNAI, INDIA – Netflix has secured the digital streaming rights for the recently released Tamil film “Vidaamuyarchi,” starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha. The film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions, has received mixed reviews since its February release. This marks the fifth on-screen pairing of Ajith and Trisha, who play Arjun and Kaial respectively. The film also features Arjun and Regina in villainous roles.
While “Vidaamuyarchi” opened to a celebratory reception from Ajith’s fans, the film’s OTT rights were quickly snapped up. Netflix will release the film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The specific release date on Netflix has yet to be announced.
