Tue Feb 04 18:34:43 UTC 2025: ## Bengaluru Police Recover 93 Stolen Mobile Phones, Arrest Two

**Bengaluru, February 5, 2025** – The Mahadevapura police have arrested two men – a bike service station attendant and an autorickshaw driver – and recovered 93 stolen mobile phones worth ₹30.4 lakh. The arrests followed a mobile theft reported on January 15th on B. Narayanapura Road.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Ahmed Salman (24) and Sajid Ahmed (30), were apprehended near a private hospital after police tracked them down on a motorcycle. Two phones were recovered at the time of arrest. Police investigations revealed the duo targeted individuals in the Whitefield area.

Their operation involved a third accomplice, Salman’s father Mohammed Umar Farooq (49), a junk shop owner, who allegedly resold the stolen phones for ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 each. The trio reportedly shared the profits.

While police have recovered a significant number of phones, they are currently working to identify the owners. Only 12 of the theft victims have filed police reports so far. The investigation is ongoing.
