**Orlando, FL –** WWE has quietly released NXT star Duke Hudson, according to Fightful Select. The release reportedly occurred in January 2025, though the news only surfaced recently.
Hudson, a veteran of the WWE system since 2019, had a notable run in NXT 2.0, initially portraying a poker-playing heel before turning face and joining the Chase U faction with Andre Chase, Thea Hail, and Riley Osborne. His time with Chase U included a 21-day NXT Tag Team Championship reign with Chase in late 2023.
The release follows a November 2024 NXT match where Ridge Holland defeated Andre Chase, leading to the apparent disbandment of Chase U. While Chase has continued to appear on NXT, Hail, Osborne, and now Hudson have been absent. No official reason has been given for Hudson’s departure.
