Tue Feb 04 12:06:34 UTC 2025: ## Anti-Corruption Officials Seize ₹3.98 Lakh in Unaccounted Cash from Tamil Nadu Sub-Registrar
**COIMBATORE, February 4, 2025** – A joint operation by the Detachment wing and the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu has resulted in the seizure of ₹3,98,500 in unaccounted cash. The money was found in the possession of B. Shajahan, an assistant in-charge at the Joint II Sub-Registrar office in Udhagamandalam.
Officials conducted a surprise vehicle check on January 31st at the Government Arts College Junction in Udhagamandalam. During the check, Shajahan’s bag was searched, revealing the large sum of unaccounted cash. An investigation into the origin of the funds is underway.
