TIRUMALA: Tirumala is decked out for the Rathasapthami festival, with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) making elaborate arrangements for the lakhs of devotees expected to witness the procession of Lord Venkateswara on seven different chariots.
TTD officials, including EO Dharma Reddy, Addl. EO Venkayya Chowdary, and District SP Harshvardhan Raju, inspected the arrangements on Monday, focusing on facilities like food distribution, drinking water, restrooms, and sheds along the procession route. They emphasized ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for devotees, and instructed officials to take steps to prevent any inconvenience. Enhanced security measures, including increased police presence, vigilance, and CCTV surveillance, have been put in place. The number of security personnel has been doubled compared to last year.
The EO stated that they anticipate 2 to 3 lakh devotees and have made arrangements to provide uninterrupted Annadanam (free food) from sunrise to sunset, continuing until the Chandraprabha Vahanam seva on Tuesday night. Special sheds have been erected to provide shade from the sun.
The TTD is confident that all arrangements are complete and are committed to ensuring a safe and memorable Rathasapthami for all devotees.
