**Prayagraj, India –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Wednesday, February 5th. The Prime Minister’s Office announced that Modi will take a holy dip in the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers, at approximately 11 am. He will also offer prayers to Maa Ganga.
The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which began on January 13th and continues until Mahashivratri on February 26th, is the world’s largest religious gathering. Modi’s visit underscores his commitment to India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. This visit follows his December 13th, 2024 inauguration of 167 development projects in Prayagraj, totaling ₹5,500 crore (approximately $666 million USD), aimed at improving infrastructure and amenities for pilgrims and residents.
