**Bhopal, February 4, 2025** – The Madhya Pradesh cabinet approved key policies aimed at boosting investment and economic growth, including a semiconductor policy and a drone policy, in preparation for the upcoming Global Investor Summit (GIS) on February 24th and 25th.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, returning from a four-day trip to Japan focused on attracting investors, announced that several Japanese companies will participate in the GIS. He further revealed that Japan has pledged cooperation in various sectors, including metro rail technology, smart city development, and waste management. A special channel will be established to facilitate Japanese investment.
The newly approved Madhya Pradesh Semi-Conductor Policy, 2025, seeks to establish a robust semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem in the state, transforming Madhya Pradesh into a significant player in the global electronics industry. The government statement highlighted the policy’s potential for attracting domestic and foreign investment, fostering innovation, and strengthening the state’s economy.
Simultaneously, the Madhya Pradesh Drone Promotion and Usage Policy, 2025, aims to attract investment in the burgeoning drone technology sector.
Further bolstering social welfare initiatives, the cabinet approved the implementation of PM Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, targeting the construction of 1 million houses for low-income families over the next five years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the GIS, which the state government hopes will attract significant investment across various sectors. Seven regional industry conclaves have already been held across the state to generate pre-summit momentum.
