Tue Feb 04 03:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Jazz Snap Eight-Game Skid with Victory Over Magic

**SALT LAKE CITY —** The Utah Jazz ended their eight-game losing streak with a convincing 113-99 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday night. Collin Sexton led the Jazz with 22 points and 7 assists, while John Collins contributed 19 points. Walker Kessler grabbed 15 rebounds, and Lauri Markkanen added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite Franz Wagner’s career-high 37 points for Orlando (which included a record 18 free throws), and Cole Anthony’s 23 points, the Magic couldn’t overcome Utah’s strong performance. Orlando’s struggles continued with their sixth consecutive road loss and eighth defeat in their last nine games. Paolo Banchero had an off night, shooting just 4-of-19 from the field for 9 points.

The Jazz established early dominance, outscoring the Magic 16-0 in the paint during the first quarter and building a 24-11 lead. A 15-3 run in the second quarter, fueled by Sexton’s scoring, solidified Utah’s lead, which they maintained throughout the second half. John Collins’ efficient offensive performance, shooting over 56% in three of his last four games, played a key role in the Jazz’s victory.

Both teams will return to action on Monday. The Magic face the Golden State Warriors, while the Jazz host the Indiana Pacers.
